Gold Coins are for fun, only Sweeps Coins become prizes. After SC clears the playthrough (usually 1x) and reaches the minimum, cashing out is quick.
How Redemption Works
- Hit the minimum, about 10 to 100 SC.
- Open “Redeem” in your account.
- Pick a reward, cash, gift card, or merchandise.
- Verify on first cash-out.
- Get paid, usually 24-72 hours.

Gift cards (Amazon, Target, Walmart, Best Buy, Starbucks, DoorDash) usually have the lowest minimums.
The redemption process step by step
Redemption starts inside your account, not through customer support. Every operator has a “Redeem” or “Cash-out” button somewhere in the balance area, usually inside the same wallet screen where your Sweeps Coin balance is displayed. Clicking it opens the redemption form. You will be asked to select a payment method, enter or confirm the receiving details, and pick an amount. Every brand enforces a minimum redeemable balance (usually 50 to 100 SC) and most enforce a maximum single redemption (usually between $2,500 and $10,000, higher for verified VIP-tier accounts).
Once you submit the form, the operator queues the request for review. First cash-outs go into a slightly longer queue because the identity verification runs alongside the payment approval. Repeat cash-outs to the same bank clear the queue in minutes and the money follows the payment rail’s own schedule from there. ACH transfers usually take two to twelve hours. PayPal usually clears inside an hour once approved. Gift cards land as an emailed code within 24 hours.
Payment methods, ranked
ACH bank transfer is the fastest and lowest-friction method on every brand we have tested. Once your account and bank are linked, the money moves directly from the operator’s clearing account to yours. Median time from redemption approval to money in the bank across our current top ten sits under four hours, with the fastest brands routinely clearing under two.
PayPal is the second-fastest option. Approval times mirror ACH, but the money lands in your PayPal balance rather than your bank, so if you want it in the bank you have another 24 to 48 hours to wait for the PayPal-to-bank transfer to clear. That said, PayPal has a friction advantage: you can spend the balance without moving it, and it works across international boundaries if you travel.
Debit card push is offered by a handful of brands via Visa Direct or Mastercard Send. Speed is comparable to PayPal, but many banks route the deposit through their own delayed-availability logic, so the money can sit in “pending” for a day even after the operator has released it.
Gift cards are the widely available fallback. Every brand we cover offers at least one gift-card option, most commonly a Visa or Mastercard virtual card, sometimes a specific retailer card. Codes arrive by email within 24 hours. Some brands charge a small fee for gift-card redemptions; check the redemption form before you submit.
Playthrough, in one paragraph
Sweeps Coins have to be wagered a certain number of times before they can be redeemed. That multiplier is the playthrough. Most brands set it at 1x, which means every Sweeps Coin must pass through the game at least once. A handful set it at 3x or 5x. Game weighting can complicate the picture: some brands only count slot spins at 100% toward playthrough, table games at 20 to 50%, and live-dealer games at 0%. The exact numbers are always printed on the promo card and inside the terms, always check before you commit a big Sweeps Coin balance to a game category.
What the identity check involves
Every legal sweepstakes casino runs a one-time identity verification before your first cash-out. Two documents are required: one government-issued photo ID (passport, driver’s licence, or state ID), and one proof-of-address document dated inside the last 90 days (utility bill, bank statement, rental agreement, or similar). Upload both via the verification portal inside your account. Most brands clear the review inside 24 hours. If yours takes longer, opening a support ticket with the transaction ID from your dashboard usually accelerates it.
Repeat cash-outs to the same payment method do not re-trigger the check. Changing banks, adding a new PayPal, or moving between payment rails will usually require a small re-verification step, though it is faster than the first-time check because the operator has your documents on file.
What can slow a cash-out down
Three common causes. First, ID mismatch, the name on your operator account not matching the name on your bank exactly. Match them and the check clears. Second, an unusual state selector, some brands route certain state redemptions through a partner that operates on business-day cycles. If you cash out from one of those states on a Friday afternoon the money moves on Monday, not Saturday. Third, an account that has crossed the annual $600 reporting threshold, the operator will pause your cash-out just long enough to collect the 1099-MISC data. None of these should cost more than 24 to 48 hours.
